"Who is she anyway?"

Well, let me tell you!

My name is Julia and I'm from Toronto, Ontario! I am a mother to an (almost) three year old girl named Amelia and she is the light of my life! I graduated from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Mathematics and a Minor of Fine Arts in 2017. I currently work as an Executive Operations Lead for a Translational Research Hub in Toronto. In my spare time - which is very limited, but that I love to fill - I love to work on art, crochet, tutor, exercise, and blog!

 

I started my Instagram page, @delilah.by.julia, in October of 2020 without thinking much about how I would grow. I began the account to give myself something to do during the crazy year we experienced, but also to have a creative outlet. The community that I am a part of and the following I have built still surprises me everyday! What started out as a simple fashion/beauty blog has turned into a network of talented and supportive creators! I have had the opportunity to connect with so many wonderful people; which, in turn, has allowed me to speak up on matters that are important to me.

As much as I love the Instagram platform as a way of expression, there have been very limiting features for me as a creator. Introducing this blog to you will help me speak more freely to matters that are flagged as "taboo" by Instagram. I will also be sharing more of my art, recipes, daily life, style hacks, and beauty hacks! I want this blog to encompass who I am as a person without limiting myself to a specific genre. Although you will see a mostly fashion and beauty, I want you to see my platform as a place to seek advice, look for recommendations, shop my looks, and have access to all of my social platforms!
